Tools You Cannot Live Without in a Kitchen
TG
Here are five things our chefs reach for every single day in the kitchen. Obvious but true.
A Sharp Knife: Sounds simple, but it’s everything. Sharp knives make food prep faster, safer, and more enjoyable. A knife should be well balanced. Not blade or handle heavy. Price will determine how good a knife is. A cheaper knife well maintained is fine for everyday. Keeping it sharp and avoid putting in a dishwasher will ensure it stays future proof.
A Trusty Wooden Spoon: Old-school, simple, perfect for stirring sauces and risottos. It’s the soul of any kitchen.
A Microplane: For zesting citrus, grating parmesan, or turning garlic into gold. A chef’s shortcut to instant flavour.
Sturdy pair of tongs: Your extra hand in the kitchen. Flip, toss, serve with precision. This is a non negotiable tool you must have.
It’s not about having more tools, just about having the right ones. If you have keen chefs at home, with Christmas season on the horizon could be a good time to think about some new tools for Christmas 🎄
